St Spyridon Orthodox
Christian Film Festival
July 11, 2020
Join us on the 2nd Saturday in July for the next Saint Spyridon Christian Film Festival in beautiful and historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Fellowship begins at 9:30 am. Viewing begins at 10 am followed by a free luncheon and awards ceremony,
and then … a free two hour sail on a captained and crewed yacht in Narragansett Bay for all festival registrants.
Would you like to make and share a short video about your Church even though you have never used a camcorder before, or you have only done a little bit of video work?
Then the Saint Spyridon Orthodox Christian Film Festival is for you.
Festival films are welcome from church members of any Orthodox Christian church in Rhode Island and its adjacent communities.
Children 18 and under compete in the Junior Division. The Senior Division encompasses all others. Specialty Awards are not restricted by age.
All Orthodox Christian subjects are welcome, including icon studies, bible stories, crafted home movies from Holy sites, and the history and news of local parishes. All genres are welcome, including animations, documentaries, reportage, and screen plays.
